Jdanddiet's Top 100 games - Part 3 - 80-71

080.Space Battle (Intellivision)God knows how many hours I sunk into this one. A surprisingly tactical as well as exciting shooter for Mattel's finest.

079.Goldeneye (N64)
I only briefly owned a Nintendo 64 and this was the game that entertained me most. I still love the ship level.

078.Max Payne (PC)
At the time its melding of comic book and game was refreshing - as was the Matrix-style slo-mo and bullet time. Shame about the movie...

077.Light Crusader (MD)
Treasure's last venture on the Megadrive and a lovely RPG-lite action adventure with superb isometric graphics and great music.

076.Icewind Dale (PC)
I always liked the ability to create your whole party - it may be a simple dungeon crawl, but it was huge fun.

075.Doom (PC)
What can I say about this game that hasn't been said before? Simply, a violent, groundbreaking classic.

074.Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (Xbox)NEW ENTRY
A quaint amalgamation of Role playing, point and clicking and action spread over an odd futuristic Earth and bizarre alien worlds. It has a wondrous ethereal atmosphere, thanks in no small part to the beautiful music.

073.Renegade (Spectrum)
One of an elite cadre of Spectrum games that actually improves upon thearcade original. A truly great beat em up.

072.Moon Patrol (Arcade)
That one-more-go finely balanced difficulty curve is what makes Moon Patrol such a classic arcade game.

071.Fallout 2 (PC) NEW ENTRY
Before it went all Console-y, this sequel was my favourite in the futuristic post-apocalyptic wasteland genre.

  1. I'd never even heard of Dreamfall before. I am intrigued...

Most of my uni days were spent playing Goldeneye. That's probably why I'm busting a gut now to get a degree whilst holding down a full-time job and keep a wife and two kids happy.

"I always liked the ability to create your whole party"

    - That's the one reason why Wizadry 8 earned so many replays from me!

Man, I haven't played Renegade for a long time - must rectify. I wonder if the bikes are still a bast...

  2. you should try dreamfall it's very good.
